The Northern Michigan Chamber Alliance released its 2021 Annual Report to its member organizations today, offering a summary of the coalition’s accomplishments. The Alliance represents 16 chambers and economic development organizations and over 7,000 member businesses from all across northern Michigan.
“Last year was filled with accomplishments for the Alliance,” said Alliance Chairperson and Charlevoix Chamber President Sarah Van Horn. “We succeeded in advocating for a local approach to COVID restrictions and for policies to increase attainable housing stock and affordable, quality child care. We look forward to continuing our work and finishing the job on key policy priorities in 2022.”
Alliance Vice-Chairperson Nikki Devitt added, “We live in a different world than we did in January 2021. I’m proud to have worked with our Alliance members and businesses to make sure we are receptive to changing needs in the northern Michigan business community. I am ready to help our businesses rebuild and prepare for what promises to be another historic year.”
