Northern Michigan Chamber Alliance Releases 2024 Annual Report

The Northern Michigan Chamber Alliance released its 2024 Annual Report to its member organizations today, summarizing the coalition’s accomplishments. The Alliance represents 19 chambers and economic development organizations and over 7,000 member businesses from across northern Michigan.

“The Alliance set its priorities this year on our key focus areas of housing, rural economic development, and talent attraction,” said Alliance Chairperson and Petoskey Regional Chamber President Nikki Devitt. “We achieved historic funding for educator housing and helped ensure that the Earned Sick Time Act and the new minimum wage increase didn’t make an outsized impact on rural and seasonal businesses.”

The 2024 Report also summarizes the Alliance’s work to advance rural northern Michigan’s priorities in the State of Michigan budget and in policy arenas such as the Mackinac Policy Conference and at the State of the State Address in Lansing. The Alliance added two new partner organizations in 2024, Develop Iosco and the Northern Lakes Economic Alliance.
