The Northern Michigan Chamber Alliance released its 2022 Annual Report to its member organizations today, summarizing the coalition’s accomplishments. The Alliance represents 16 chambers and economic development organizations and over 7,000 member businesses from across northern Michigan.
“The Alliance accomplished nearly everything we set out to do in 2022,” said Alliance Chairperson and Charlevoix Chamber President Sarah Van Horn. “We helped craft and pass unique and creative solutions for child care and affordable housing incentives, delivering on historic reforms to help working families and business owners alike. We look forward to building on that momentum in 2023.”
Alliance Vice-Chairperson Nikki Devitt added, “We are proud to have played a leading role in the establishment and funding of the Office of Rural Development. Four years ago, the ORD was simply an idea. Today, it is a fully-staffed state office led by a former Alliance member and equipped with new grant funds for rural communities.”
