The Northern Michigan Chamber Alliance released its 2023 Annual Report to its member organizations today, summarizing the coalition’s accomplishments. The Alliance represents 17 chambers and economic development organizations and over 7,000 member businesses from across northern Michigan.
“The Alliance had a daunting list of priorities for 2023 and worked to elevate them with state and local officials and policymakers,” said Alliance Chairperson and Petoskey Regional Chamber President Nikki Devitt. “We maintained our focus on housing, rural economic development, and talent attraction, delivering on historic funding and policy changes to support northern Michigan’s vibrant communities. We look forward to continuing this work in 2024.”
Alliance Vice-Chairperson Caitlyn Stark added, “We are excited to see new and creative policy reforms and funding opportunities for attainable rural workforce housing. There is much more that the Alliance can do to help our region’s workforce and employers.”
